Brigadier General Doc Bahnsen Endorses McKinley PDF Print E-mail

"The race for Congress in West Virginia First Congressional District is a stark contrast between candidates on the important issues of national defense and Veterans programs.

David McKinley will stand up for strong national security and for our veterans. His opponent Mike Oliverio has suggested that he will vote to cut $500 million in funding for veterans programs. Mr. Oliverio stated as much during the primary with his plan to cut the federal budget. Does he have any idea how many Veterans that impacts in West Virginia?

David McKinley's approach in Congress is to stop reckless Washington spending without any cuts to our nation's defense and our veterans programs. He deserves our vote."

John C. "Doc" Bahnsen Jr
Brigadier General, US Army (retired)

Parkersburg News Endorses McKinley PDF Print E-mail

Parkersburg News - 4.19.10

McKinley is a professional engineer who has used his skills, along with his vision, to improve his hometown. His work to renovate and preserve valuable old buildings has been economic development at its best.

His platform addresses issues of concern not just to West Virginians but to all Americans. His belief is shared increasingly by those who have seen government's cost and power grow far beyond its ability to help. The basis of his political philosophy is that Congress should be working to decrease the size and intrusiveness of government-along with the tax and regulatory burdens Washington has placed on us all.

The Intelligencer - April 10, 2010

David McKinley's positions on issues of concern to West Virginians make it clear he deserves the Republican Party nomination for Congress from the 1st District. His record of service to his community and state is evidence he can be relied upon to stand by his constituents.

The Intelligencer endorses McKinley for the Republican nomination for Congress from the 1st District of West Virginia.
Background alone places McKinley ahead of others contending for the nomination. None possesses the combination of effective service and achievement that are his foundation.

From 1981-94, McKinley served Ohio County in the West Virginia House of Delegates - steadfastly representing residents of our area and doing much good for the entire state. He has been recognized for his bipartisan approach to government - while holding to conservative principles. McKinley also has served as chairman of the state Republican Party Executive Committee.
